Does a three game sample from Houston exclude them from playoff consideration?

Also, watch your mouth, or meet me in the Whataburger parking lot with a knife.

Who knows. I just hope Herman is Urban's replacement whenever he leaves. Guy is a terrific coach.

he's good but i think if i'm a UT fan im hoping to aim a little higher. its not like strong didn't have a nice resume, he just wasn't their first choice. (we all know who was!)

I think both LSU and OSU have played crappy teams. Auburn is awful for whatever reason, Miss. St. may be ok, but Cuse isn't any good

The 2 MAC teams OSU played are ok, but they are still MAC teams. VT is probably ok to pretty good if they had their QB, but woulda shoulda coulda too bad

Navy is in the West Division.

Looks like Navy, Memphis and Houston will fight out for the chance to play Temple in AAC championship

No, I said OSU played 2 ok MAC teams, who would be bottom feeders in Big 5 conferences.

I said they have both played a crappy schedule

I think your definition of better needs some adjustment.

Funny how tOSU this year is eerily similar to UF 2009 on offense. Once Mullen left, UF's offense went to utter crap, and now that Tom Herman leaves, your seeing similar issues at tOSU.

In 2009, you saw cracks in UF's offense and then it went to crap in 2010.

Probably see issues with tOSU's offense this year, and possible major issues next year.

UH got themselves a good one.

Possible right now, but the offense last week was on the brink of absolutely breaking out. There were legit 4-5 more balls that were underthrown from Jones that would have meant over 700 yards offense. you don't get "do-overs" of course and he didn't hit them, but the potential is there.

I think Meyer's main problem was he was splitting reps at QB way too much in camp. Today was the first depth chart where it was Cardale Jones at the 1 and not Cardale Jones OR JT Barrett.

Also, Meyer never had the rb he has at OSU now at UF. If all else fails, he can ground and pound now and he knows it

OSU has played a "crappy schedule."

LSU, relative to the schedules of P-5 teams across the country, has played a pretty solid schedule.

ETA: "Crappy" might be too harsh. NIU, at least, is one of the better programs outside of the P-5.

If I'm ranking the 7 teams LSU and OSU have played it's:

MSU
NIU
VT
Auburn
WM
Syracuse
Hawaii

VT and Auburn could be switched easily, but I think MSU is the best team either has played

Herman is going to be a combination Howard Schnellenberger/Gary Patterson for the Coogs. He'll recruit the hell out of Houston and usher the school into a P5 conference.
