It came off as a complete shot at manning not winning enough Super Bowls. Even if Irsay didn't mean it to, that's the way it was taken.

His general point was valid but he definitely gets an F minus for articulation since nobody realizes that he actually pretty much said that Manning was better than Brady. But like someone else said, he shouldn't have said anything.
And, despite the partial revisionist history, he actually did take a mild shot at Manning with the "Star Wars numbers" comment and the constant flashing of the ring.
