Its absolutely insane how dominant he was. 1-2 players a year break 100 now.

I agree, most sports have a few players that could be the greatest, in hockey it's hard to ignore just how dominant he was.

Been a crazy time with Gretzky, Jordan, Jr. Griffey...some of the all-time best...

Goaltending was much different back then. As was the style of play.

Gretzky benefitted from beinh a revolutionary player with supreme hockey awareness and above average skills.

From 1981 - 1987 the Oilers were #1 in the league for goals scored each season.

They were #2 in 1987.
