I'm not sure the SEC bias is a factor in the opinions on here of Mariota. The bias certainly exists but I don't think it applies here.
Stats can be misleading if not investigated further and that's typically the problem with them. They're often not put into context. By any measure, Mariota had a successful rookie campaign. I don't care about his total turnover to touchdown ratio. Sure, that's not good for a 6 year vet. But, behind that offensive line and with the total lack of help on offense outside of Delanie Walker, it dont see how it's a concern for Mariota as a rookie. It's not like he had twice as many turnovers as touchdowns or anything. His decision making, accuracy, and maturity were incredibly impressive and those are the areas that usually separate the top QBs in the league.
It was only 12 games and he has plenty of work to do. But it was a very good start to a career and I don't know how that's debatable.

Jacksonville needs a better offensive line...
This was my first thought. You start build a champion in the trenches- pour a concrete foundation first.
Jags had a good draft, but I have the Raiders ahead of them for sure (though their O-line needs work too).
None of those teams are contenders, but Ravens have the edge of the teams listed with Flacco in a QB driven league, unless Bridgewater makes a tremendous leap this year.
SD has Rivers who is top-shelf, but always seems to lack enough playmakers around him. Gates being older doesn't help either.

Minnesota. Good coach...good qb.

I think I'll go with the Raiders, because none of those other teams have Khalil Mack.
