Only on Tigerdroppings would you actually have to argue that Bama is a better job than FSU

Jimbo is already the highest paid coach in the ACC. If he continues to win, he'll continue to get paid. If he's winning national championships, then FSU will be able to pay him with the best of them. The only legitimate thing (that a coach actually considers) that Bama may have over FSU is money.

As for tradition and Bear Bryant and all that, who cares? It didn't help when Bama settled on DuBose, Shula, etc. or when Rich Rod turned them down. Why would Jimbo leave an already prestigious program that has brought back to prominence, in an excellent recruiting area, in a conference that's not nearly as difficult as the SEC to deal with the impossible expectations that are sure to follow Saban at Bama?

But what I'm saying his, maybe he's not worried about money maybe he's worried about security of his job. If he wins a title at FSU he's there for life. He wins one at Bama it's just another title.

He goes 8-5 at FSU nobody is gonna give a shite.
He goes 8-5 at Bama he's on the hot seat.

Jimbo wants to be the Bob Stoops of Florida State.
No chance of getting fired if he wins the ACC every year.

He goes to Bama and doesn't survive year 3 he's at fricking Tennessee or Kentucky the rest of his coaching career

well it is, but it's not that much better that they'll get a coach from there who might have it rolling

Fairly recent if you're not a teenager.

You make valid points. I'm not saying he's a lock. Even the thread title says "chance."

Although you presume to know what he's thinking, which is absurd.

I doubt he would leave, but do you really think he wouldn't entertain the offer at all?

Because that's absurd. He would. He would be most likely the highest paid coach in the country at Bama. That alone would make him take a moment to think.

Did I say that?

If a school like Bama, or Texas, or LSU, or Florida, or USC, or Oklahoma, etc. made him an awesome offer monetarily, of course he'd consider it.

I was asking a question. No need to get defensive. It would be easy to mistake your excessive 's as thinking you meant he wouldn't even consider the job.

My apologies.

Why would he leave FSU for Bama? He rebuilt a storied program. You need to put the bottle down.

Sorry. Just assumed smart people would realize that Bama's tradition and reputation and awesome fans wouldn't be enough alone to sway a top tier coach from a top tier program. Hence the .

Who would you prefer?

I'm thinking it's either Kirby or Dabo.

If Bama offered Jimbo it's no slam dunk that he would take it, but to think he wouldn't have a decision to make is foolish. Bama Football is superior to FSU in every way. Wow, You are really dumb for a Vanderbilt fan. Genro is one of the biggest imbeciles I've ever encountered!
