Cut the whole season in half while you're at I. Way too fricking long.

But according to Colin cowherd nothing would make the league better than 6 mega teams as long as they're in the right market

He's not wrong. It's always only 1-2, maybe 3 teams who have a chance year in, year out. If you had 6 mega teams the competition undoubtedly opens up. Small market teams do not win championships in the NBA, Cleveland is an anomaly because of LeBron.

So San Antonio, Miami, Dallas, and San Fran are all big markets to you?

DFW and San Fran/Oakland are the 5th and 6th biggest media markets in the country... Those two are absolutely big markets.

Miami/Ft Lauderdale is 16th. San Antonio is all the way down at 32.

The entire small markets can't win theory is crap though. If you draft well, pay attention to team chemistry, and have a good coach you can win.

For example, had Rick Carlisle been HC of OKC they'd probably have a title and Durant doesn't run off to Golden State like a total coward.

The only thing that truly holds back small market teams is inept ownership.

The best NBA season was the strike shortened season. Seemed every game was important

I wish they would increase max salary to where teams could really only afford one. It's stupid to be able to pay 3 max salaries. Would increase parity so much.

Yeah Dallas and San Fran weren't good examples in terms of market size, but traditionally you don't really think of those as large markets when it comes to the NBA. I agree with everything else you stated.

Miami is also a bad example. It's attractive as a somewhat smaller market because of the city and locale. If Wade was in Milwaukee or Charlotte there's no way LBJ and Bosh go there

It's Warriors/Cavs Round 3 barring any significant injuries.

Everything else is background noise.

Dubs in 5 if played right now.

The NBA is unwatchable right now... I tried watching some of The Celts /Lakers last night and couldn't watch more than 10 mins of it... It was awful....
