It's not fricking around if you have a plan. Not every fighter is suited to just rush in. Some are more strategic fighters. This format favors a certain type of fighter. For something this important, it should be 3 rounds.

don't think they've ever had 3 round fights to get into the house.....usually 2 rounds with a draw that goes into the thirds. I like this format as it is definitely more action packed and entertaining.

The better fighters who lose and don't get into the house will probably still get another shot as injuries are inevitable and fighters are always forced to drop out.

Well, that's what I meant. If it was a draw they had the opportunity to fight one more round. I just think the 1 round removes and element of skill and tactics from the fight. I know the other fights will be 2 or 3 rounds, but I think the qualifying round is just a bit too much of a crapshoot for me. Too many gambles.

Honestly I'm ok with this. I think your average joe wants to see more exciting fights such as this rather than the more technical ground and pound. Maybe this is a good thing for the sport.

Also the fighters have a lot less of a chance of getting too banged up with one round. So far none of the winners has sustained much if any damage.

there isn't a crowd for the previous taped/edited seasons. It's the exact same as this.

very good point Scrap.

There will be tradeoffs no matter what format they choose, but I'm liking it this way so far.

I know, that's why I was wondering why you questioned the person saying they didn't like this because of lack of commercials. I was answering by saying there are commercials after every fight

I know I think it's the editing or something. It's not as bad as it started out. Just different than normal.

I can get annoyed with Rogan. Not a fan of goldy at all. The best in the business is Bas Rutten and THE VOICE Michael Schiavello. I got home late and will see the fights later. Anyone look like they're gonna amount to anything? THE VOICE highlights

I look forward to watching that dude fight. Also he seemed to me that he was very humble. I like that in a fighter. I think that's the gracie style though.
