The whole live qualifying fights thing is surreal. It would be better if they had a crowd. It's just silent in that warehouse. fricking awkward. I don't think we will see this format again.

Yeah this is super awkward and it doesn't look like they are really organized.

it was silent before when it was taped. I like this better because there will be less opportunity for bullshite editing reality tv altering tactics throughout the season.

Yeah, Faber and Cruz are not the most vocal of people, and they certainly aren't wordsmiths.

There play by play is essentially multiple variations of ,"Ummm...yeah...he's good."

Nice tramp stamp Marcello. Well. He's brasilian. Maybe that's okay. Is he the former porn star?

WTF was that? He was defending himself. He clinched. What the hell ref? UFC lets Brock get pummeled for an entire round, but they call a fight after one flash knockdown?

That was an example of the ref anticipating a guy being knocked out and not waiting to verify the guy is actually out. This is a lot of these guys' title shot. This is it for them. Let them fight it out.

I don't like it. Especially with the ref with the quick trigger.

wrestlers are definitely at a disadvantage with this format. I guarantee Dana told everyone not to lay n pray for the entire round.

Damn right. Your fast starting strikers are at a distinct advantage in this format. Guys that like to work a guys legs and set up an opponent are fricked in this format. Your crazy kamikaze guys have the edge. I wonder when they were told this would be a one round fight.

Honestly I'm ok with this. I think your average joe wants to see more exciting fights such as this rather than the more technical ground and pound. Maybe this is a good thing for the sport.
