Now Jordan Reed is out for this week's game, add that to Gronk and his injury past plus Eifert plagued with injuries. Graham was out all last season, etc, etc etc.

Seems like it's one... if not THE most injury prone position in football, obviously because of the requirements of the position.

But it also highlights just how valuable and durable guys like Witten and Gonzalez are/were.

Greg Olsen is about to become the first TE in history with 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. He has 790 yards already and 5 games left.

Olsen is vastly under rated, but that feat is so arbitrary.

Graham had a 3 year stretch where he still put up 500 more yards and like 10 more tds than Olsen even if Olsen hits 1k and 5 more tds

I'd take Greg Olsen over any tight end in the NFL when you factor in injuries and impact in the passing/rushing game. He can do it all.
