The last MLB team to win this many games in a row was the 2017 Indians, and they lost in the first round in one of the biggest playoff upsets of the millennium.

Not at all. Hell, win all 162 if you can. The problem for that Indians team was that they peaked too early and wore themselves out chasing the winning streak. This year's Cardinals team has some similarities to 2007 Colorado being a decidedly mediocre team who got absurdly hot and went all the way to the World Series.

I still don't trust the bullpen and the rotation after Wainwright. But it's been an entertaining end to the regular season. I guess I was wrong about O'Neil and Bader. Imagine how many more games this team would have if both didn't miss so much time early in the season.

Prob is we’re not mediocre. We had the best record in baseball before we got destroyed by injuries in mid June. We finally started getting players back and clicking again. On paper this team was supposed to be a playoff team going into the year
