They are a juggernaut, if healthy it's a wrap. As much as it pains me to say it, Spurs ha e best (slight) chance. Since Mavs haven't kept continuity as good as Spurs, they aren't contenders. Wouldn't mind seeing one more Dirk vs Duncan battle for the road.

It's probably the last one

Agreed. In that one pic, she manages to make leather pants fit like Mom jeans.

Sadly, I think the 2014 series might end up being the last hurrah for Duncan vs. Dirk. Fitting that it was an epic 7-gamer. Both players have one of those over the other (2006 was an instant classic)

Very slight. For this era of basketball, the Warriors are the perfectly constructed team. It's remarkable to watch them do their thing.

Only giving Pop/SA a chance if they have a playoff-specific strategy to unleash on GS in the postseason. That's likely a homerish pipe dream, but Pop has rope-a-doped potential playoff foes before. Still don't think an upset is goinh to happen if GS is healthy, though. Hope I'm wrong.

Most younger or casual fans will never know that series was one of the best of all time. Every game down to the wire, overtimes, clutch shots, game 7 Spurs had it til Manu lost his head and fouled Dirk giving him a last second AND 1 to send to OT

It was the de-facto NBA Finals. A ridiculously titanic clash that was overshadowed because seeding had it fall as a conference semifinal

Manu is my favorite player--that game killed me because he'd made the three pointer that broke the tie and capped off a huge comeback in that game. Still don't know what he was thinking fouling Dirk on that play

That was a huge series win for the Mavs, Dirk, and Avery Johnson. Thought for sure DAL would win it all.

That series will always be special to me. My G/F at the time and I rushed to Love field and met the team off the plane thru the fence along with over 100 Mavs fans.

The players walked about 100 yards over to us and gave us fives thru the wire fence .

Mavs would of won if Bennett f ing Salvatore didn't take the $$ and give D.Wade 400 FT's that series and call a foul on D.Harris with 0.2 left on the clock when Mavs were ahead 2-0 and in the lead.

It was a big F-U from Stern to Cuban did his antics and with Kobe's rape case going on, thought they needed to quickly manufacture Wade as a superstar
