you do realize OSU getting white hot at the very end is one reason why people are so leery about playoffs, right?
just because OSU got hot and won 2 games doesn't mean that TCU should have been left out, and it doesn't mean that the playoffs are justified. in fact, these similar reaction threads are big bullseyes for criticizing the playoffs for allowing a team like OSU wo tin it.

I guess mo re people out there dislike it than I realize. But how would you change it?
you still can't ignore the fact that CFB is the one sport that guys in suits or gals determine who has a chance to win it. Note: basketball and baseball are this way, but if you win you conference you are in, and there is no possible way to remove humans completely in a system where there are 100+ teams. But at-least there is a way to play into the playoff unlike college football.

It's what made college football great.
It's also what attracted the big-money leeches to it, resulting in (like everything else poisoned by the dollar) its methodical breakdown - first with the BCS and now with the playoffs. And believe me, they're not done yet.
