The Blackhawks have some good young talent in the system and their core locked up for a bit. They've retooled before, they'll retool again. The Central is getting tougher though as I see the Wild really coming on strong in the future.

You also have the Islanders back being relevant again and with new ownership coming in after the 15-16 season, so they will spend bank again to win games, and NJ will be good again, as will Philly. The East was weak this year, and they Rags capitalized on it. Next year on won't be like that though.

Totally agree. I also think the Isles and Flyers are building. I also think The Peg and Calgary are building something in the West. NHL parity at it's finest. That's why the Hawks run has been so amazing.

The Isles are a goalie and a coach away from being dominant. Its a shame their ownership won't spend a little bit of $$$ to get a half decent coach. Thank God there is one more year of Wang left.

King Henrik? HA, should be King Billy Smith. 4 straight Cup wins and he was a brick wall for all of them in an era of high scoring in the NHL.

Billy Smith and Marty Brodeur went over to Henriettas house for a drink, neither of them could find any cups.

Well, I've said all along that bishop and Crawford are better than people think: I never thought the Rangers would win it this year. bishop played great - should get Vezina but won't because he doesn't have enough games against weak competition to pad his stats. Congrats bolts!

The islanders already have a good goalie in Halak. Issue in round 1 was scoring.

NEW YORK -- New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh was playing through a broken foot that limited the defenseman to 17:33 of ice time in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. Coach Alain Vigneault confirmed the injury after New York's season-ending 2-0 loss. Asked how long McDonagh's foot has been broken, Vigneault said, "A couple of games."

From NHL.com - holy shite.
