Injunction will be filed, Brady will play in the first game, and the NFL will lose horribly in court.

Well, I bet the NSA has already looked into them for every single human being on the planet.

i love when people make this argument. brady compromised the integrity of the league and was complicit in cheating at his job. domestic abuse, while a serious offense, is a non-work related offense. people who chose to say that the length of the suspension is the nfl saying which act is worse to commit as a human being are highly ignorant.

all of that

How is this any different from the Vikings-Panthers game last year when one of those two teams got caught warming footballs (a clear violation of NFL rules)? All they got was a memo from the league office warning them not to do it again.

But it didn't. The score was 17-7 with the alleged deflated balls. With correctly inflated balls the score was 48-7.

It's different because it's Brady and the Patriots and they're too delusional to form a valid response because of how mad they are they won a fourth championship

Also Ray Rice cooperated fully with the NFL.

If you give Brady a slap on the wrist for this what's to keep him or anyone else from doing whatever they want to do to tamper with equipment? Their only defense has to be "Ray Rice only got two games for beating up a woman."

Why even bother debating with some of these people? The script, to steal from one of our shittier posters, is the following.

1. Brady will file an injunction in either MA, MO, or MN.

2. The judge will grant the injunction pending a civil hearing.

3. The NFL will leak viable and non-viable information.

4. The Wells Report will be destroyed on both independence and for what's written in it.

5. Brady will be chastised for destroying the phone.

6. It will get thrown out and Brady will pay a 25k fine, as per the rules.

So teams warm the balls, possibly unknowingly violating the rule. A reminder goes out to teams to not tamper with the balls in the future.

A team later tampers with the balls. Should they be punished (especially after being told recently to not tamper with the balls)? After the rule was clarified and re-emphasized, any more tampering should have been punished. Thankfully it was in this instance.

did the NFL have evidence that could pin it to a specific player being involved? could they even pin it on a single team definitively? Did the teams intentionally hinder an investigation?

And i will be surprised if this goes to court. Brady and his people made a bluff about court to the nfl to scare them and get the suspension reduced. The nfl called their bluff and now brady will quietly serve his suspension rather than drag this in court and have all the real details and facts get brought to light that he is trying to hide. Which is why he destroyed his phone in the first place.
