Go figure Jeter also leads in career at bats and games.

You are making it worse. That fact that he has played more games and at bats than any other Yankee, you know the greatest sports franchise of all time with over a century of history, should command respect.

I guess Hank Aaron is overated bc he played 23 seasons and thats the reason he has so many hrs, hits and rbi?

ETA: there's no such thing as an "amazing" commercial.

You must have missed the Clydesdale kicking that extra point in the Budweiser ad a few years ago.

nice commercial but Jeter belongs on the all time most over rated player list.

why?
Because he doesn't crank 40 HR's a year and he plays for the Yankees.

ETA: /s incase it wasn't obvious

I don't like the Yankees and I don't really watch baseball anymore. But I'm a sports fan and I appreciate greatness. That commercial gave me chills.

Did I ever say I didn't respect Jeter? No, in fact my exact words were that I respected the shite out of him. To try and say though that more at bats doesn't correlate to more hits would be kidding yourself.

Commercial was pretty cool.

Question about all this Jeter stuff; why is he getting such a huge sendoff? Not a hater, just asking. Is this going to be the new norm where guys are getting gifts at every stadium they go to (of course reserved for guys with serious stats like Jeter has)? It seems like he's on his death bed or something. A part of me likes it and then a part of me thinks it's a little too much. Just wondering...

Few players have garnered the respect he has, especially considering he is almost universally loved and plays for a team that is almost universally hated. Everyone knows who he is and he will be one of those players that is talked about in 100 years like we talk about other old Yankees. One of the most likeable players around.

It's a cool commercial.

But what the hell is Spike Lee doing wearing Yankee gear? I thought he was a Mets fan? Or is Spike Lee the ultimate fair weather fan?

That gave me chills

He was at the LSU vs Bama game in 2012 rooting for Bama. My friend asked to take a picture with him and he said, "I don't take photos with white people."
