It probably won't take much, the dipshit will post it to YouTube.

What I want to know is how he got the phone through? They have you empty your pockets and walk through a metal detector when entering the gate.

Dude either knows a player and came in with them, or he jammed it up his arse. Thats about the only 2 options lol.

See that sticker on it the phone? I wonder if that was some sort of approved phone or something. Like he's a member of the media or affiliated with a player and that's why he was allowed to have his phone.

I think the guy works for Augusta National and was taking video and pictures for their Instagram and other social media account.

Does it bother anyone else how guys online and on podcasts have been saying how "shocked" they are that Spieth finished where he did and didn't stay up near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday?

It's like these people forget that it's golf. I feel like ever since Tiger Woods' unprecedented extended run of dominance, people are constantly looking for the next guy to do something similar. How many times have we seen guys go a 3-4 month stretch where they look awesome and maybe unbeatable? Rory in the middle of 2012. Jason Day in the middle of 2015. Mickelson somewhere in there between 2004 and 2006, and a little bit again in 2013. Tiger in 2013. Spieth at the beginning of 2015 and really the whole year. What DJ has been doing now.

However, unlike Tiger's prime years, these guys can never really sustain that dominance. A big part of it is the better competition. But I feel like guys just go on runs, and once you lose it, it's not necessarily the easiest thing to get back to that level, especially mentally. And even more, you feel pressure to get back to that level. It would be surprising if DJ doesn't come back down to earth once he returns from this back thing. Will Jason Day ever be as good as he was for that few months back in 2015? Probably not. Yet people hold these guys, especially Spieth and McIlroy, to such a high standard.

It's ridiculous. Just because Spieth almost won all four majors in 2015 doesn't mean he's ever going to duplicate that type of season. I think Rory is the most likely guy to have multiple stretches of sheer dominance throughout his career, but you still never really know.

Idk, this shite just bothers me.

To me, this stems from Sir Nick Faldo practically guaranteeing that Spieth would win or nearly win as the broadcast was beginning on Sunday.
He is not near Tiger's prime at the moment. I don't know if Faldo really believed this or CBS put him up to it to promote a player to Tiger like status.

It's more due to the fact that he had played the Masters 3 times, with two 2nds and a win. He appeared to be a savant on those greens

Spieth is dangerous when he has his near mythical putting runs, just like Tiger did forever. But the difference is Spieth just doesn't have the ballstriking.

He doesn't. He's methodical.

As a fan of Spieth I'll say that he needs help in the mental game. He gets way too frustrated when something doesn't go his way and you can tell he doesn't move on. He also overanalyzes shots and thinks too much. There are times where he needs to just grip it and rip it. Of course that's easy to say from my couch.

Spieth is a great tour player but I don't think he will ever dominate. Same goes for Rory but Rory will have a better career. I think Rory needs to spend less time in the gym.

Agreed with all that. I listened to a podcast where they talked about how Spieth has made a point to not think as much anymore on the course, and to try to play a little bit faster. A drill he worked on with his coach, he would take the club back, and then when he reached the top of his swing, his coach would tell him what kind of shot to hit, and he'd have to create that shot in his downswing. Pretty interesting stuff.

we do that all the time here...great fun on the range with friends and family - calling the shot then having to execute after hearing the shot type in the middle of your swing.

Jordan chased distance and it cost him - his is getting back to his old swing that won him 2 majors and nearly a couple of more.

Chasing distance on tour is not always the best gameplan.

For the phone guy I actually paused it during the live feedback and said the same thing. But, if you watch the broadcast a little further there are some guys beside him with cameras and all the cameras had the little yellow sticker on it.

I'm with you. People forget that Tiger's run really was unprecedented. No one has really ever been as dominant as Tiger was at his peak. Even Jack wasn't that dominant. Golf is not the sort of game where one person can be that much better than everybody else for an extended period of time. So to expect someone to come along and fill that void and to stay at that level is unrealistic.

Let's not go nuts.

From 70-79, he finished in the top 10 of 35/40 majors, winning 8 of them.

Tiger from 00-09 finished in the top 10 of 25/38 majors (didn't play in 2 of them), winning 12 of them.
