14 years of football bowl games plus mens basketball ncaa tourney appearances.

Building on that record streak again this winter. 15-3 currently.

This might not seem that great to some on this national board, but I grew up watching Wisconsin get hopelessly destroyed in those sports for decades.

This sustained success is remarkable.

Uh, that's a noteworthy stat.

We get fricking high school threads on the MSB about some yokel local town in the middle of nowhere scoring 4 TDs in one game and he can't talk about a national college?

It is. I brought a bunch of AZ friends back in 2003 for the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversay celebration in Milwaukee and we rode our bikes to Madison. I showed them State Street, we watched a Badger football game at State Street Brats and then went to the student union/terrace, which is located on a beautiful lake. One of my friends said "why the hell would you move away from here?" I told him to come visit in January.

Makes you wonder why they were ever that bad to begin with in either sport. They are the only school in the whole state that plays in a major conference and the state has a decent population and is close to Chicago and Milwaukee. They have a lot of advantages for sure.

I expected the OSU boys to come in and drop some 59-0 GIFs.

Madison is a great town. I loved visiting my bro when he lived there. That said, I don't see why Minnesota couldn't be every bit as good as Wisconsin. They must have some systemic/administrative issues.

Always liked the Badgers. They have had some really sustained success in the two major sports the past two decades.
