Looks like the Foe train may have run out of steam :(

I’m afraid so. But this has been my favorite match on the men’s side so far. Great athleticism from both of them.

FAA just a little better all around. No shame in that.

FAA/Alcaraz with your life on the line. What is the play?

Alex pretty much handled Sinner.

I don't know what happened with Opelka, but I'm guessing something was wrong with him physically.

Otte just took the second set against Berretini...Berretini won the first. Haven't watched any of this match. I actually had never heard of Otte before this tournament.

Thoughts on the remaining draw:

Quad 1:
I expect Novak to take out Brooksby. Berrettini dropped the second set, and as I type this is down love 30 in his first service game. I think he'll probably hold on, though, and then get beaten by Novak in the quarter.

Quad 2:
Alex is rolling along quite nicely. The Harris kid isn't bad, but I expect Alex to roll. But can Alex take out Novak? I have my doubts.

Quad 3:
I got a hunch Alcaraz is going to take out FAA. FAA is favored, but not by much. I tossed in a little play on Alcaraz; we'll see how it works out for me.

Quad 4:
Daniil takes on a qualifier, and the way Daniil has been playing, I just can't fathom him not winning in straights.

Semis:
I don't like either FAA or Alcaraz's chances against Daniil. I think he ends up in the final.

Tough to bet against Novak making the final...so I'll go with him over Alex.

Final:
I actually think Daniil may take this thing. Call me crazy.

I think the cumulative effect of a tough match with Alex and even Berrettini could take it out of Nole in the finals. But, if Alex beats him, I don't see Alex losing to Medvedev. Medvedev needs to cruise easily to the finals to be fresh. I don't think he can handle a few five setters. I would like to see Alex/Nole and Alcatraz/Medvedev on Friday. Hoping Medvedev can win me $250.

Medvedev has been winning his matches rather routinely. What makes you think he'd be physically spent?

Right, on his form and with that draw, I think he should cruise to the finals unless Alcaraz or FAA really play out of their mind. It's just that he is like 2-7 in five setters and I believe has admitted he doesn't love the grind.

No way he keeps this up and Novak keeps playing this poorly. Crowd will be for him though.

He had the break lined up and just missed that backhand. Novak is serving great, which is getting him out of a lot of trouble.
