an extremely well-built & well-run organization. They're kind of becoming the Patriots of MLB.

SF is becoming the best run org in baseball, however the Patriots contend for a championship every season so I disagree with that comparison

San Francisco has become the model baseball franchise. Great fan support. Consistent winning. Well run front office.

Especially since they don't have to hack info from other franchises to do it.

The Giants. But they also have missed the playoffs more in the last 5 years than New England has in the last 15

Baseball is a much more fluid sport. Once you find your franchise QB, all you have to do is not get in the way as a GM in NFL. We've seen how great Kershaw has been in baseball but not really the success in playoffs that come with it.

Ya I mean I get the sports are different but when you talk about the Patriots you're talking about a team that has contended for a championship about every year for a decade and a half. The Giants either win the World Series or are not a threat, and have only done it for a fraction of the time. I just don't think it's a good comparison. It isn't shitting on the Giants it's just a high standard, I think the only team in sports that are on the Patriots level is the Spurs, I don't believe there is a MLB equivalent at this time

Except for the fact they are not...

Yea, the Cubs are still the best team in baseball. Even after their recent funk, they're only a couple games back of the best record in the league, and they've actually been unlucky this year. Their run differential is easily the best in the league, just over double that of the Giants...almost all the underlying statistics favor the Cubs over the Giants. I would be pretty surprised if they didn't have homefield through NL playoffs.

3 World Championships in the past 6yrs for the Giants

4 World Championships in the past 15yrs for the Patriots

You're right. The Giants are actually a little ahead of the Patriots at this point in their run.

Jersey Giants did not get 3 in 5 years. they got two, pretty much randomly.

True, but they're an all or nothing team just like the NY Giants, they're certainly closer to the Giants than the Patriots
