Yards per Carry #2 Miami 4.9
Rushing attempts per game #31 Miami 21.0

Maybe they will fool everybody by throwing it more. They've had some weird games blowing teams out and getting blown out, but I thought these stats were interesting. Bill Lazor said he learned from Chip Kelly not to listen to outside people and that he's going to do it his way. I would be shocked if they don't run more in the 2nd half of the season tho.

That Houston game kind of skews the stats.

Yup.

Stats really don't always tell the entire story. Miami may not run very well outside of one monster game.. and it because of it they could have limited their runs based on it not working.. and with one monster game and so little rushing attempts.. the numbers can blow up..

Idk though, because I am not following the stats, but I do know they don't always paint the entire story..

It's hard to validate their lofty YPA numbers when they're so low in attempts per game, but there is no reason they shouldn't run more.

Whew, had to work to get their/they're/there in one sentence.

YPC generally goes down with more carries. So ranking 2nd while running it the 2nd fewest times makes sense.

I love their "Pro Spread" offense under Lazor. It'll be interesting if he leaves Miami if ther is a regime change, and if so, which team he will go.

What makes that stat worse is that Tanneyhill is getting close to 10% of the carries, 2 a game and is averaging a 1.8 yards less than the team average.

That is a great call. This sort of evens out the Houston game stats.

I don't blame them, if I had Landry at WR I would throw it to him every single play!

Lamar Miller is pretty good. The Dolphins offense looks pretty stagnant most of the time.
