That’s my only contention with the foul. And illegal screen is like a hold, it could be called often. The screen was illegal, but it wasn’t egregious. If that was the level they were calling them Iowa should have had multiple called on them. I can confidently say that without watching the game just based one arching them play lsu

I said I’d talk about it; I didn’t say I wouldn’t have made the call. My post was basically devil’s advocate stuff.

IMO you should call games, in any sport, the same way from start to finish. And people who say “the referee shouldn’t affect the outcome,” sports officials literally exist to affect the outcome. The WNBA players who were bitching about it were reacting like players, and players will try to get away with everything they can get away with.

If they didn’t call that, Iowa would have reason to gripe.

Because if that is the level they were calling them I would expect at least 3 to be called on Iowa being a team that screens for shooters often

The only person Iowa really ever screens for is Clark and I thought they did a very poor job of that last night. Most shooters were wide open from Clark (or another player) driving to the rim.

Well 3 hall of fame wnba players all said the call was bs

Where did every single one of those players go to school?

Ask your buddy should it have been an offensive foul on Clark’s last 3, when she pushed off and sent the defender back 3 ft

I think you’re thinking of the two point jumper, not a 3, and I wouldn’t have had an issue with that being called. But missing that call, doesn’t mean you miss the call at the end of the game. Stuelke got hit on the head on a layup attempt and it was missed. Does that mean they should intentionally miss a foul on UConn later in the game?
