how the hell is OU a 3 seed? they are a 10 loss team that was on the bubble a month ago.

The committee went heavy on the Big 12 this year. I don't know what they did to deserve all the love

The big 12 had less bad teams than the other conferences, so all of their good teams got more credit for tougher schedules and quality wins. Just to compare to the SEC, Kansas and Arkansas had basically the same record and KU hovered in the top 10 while Arkansas is ranked around 20. All the other 10 loss big 12 teams were ranked in the teens while lsu, Uga, ole miss, a&m with pretty much the same records weren't ranked. Just the fact that Texas made it in considering how bad they've been the last couple months tells you everything.
They really weren't the best conference, all of their teams were inflated by the overall depth of the league.

Rankings do not matter. The RPI is what matters. KU has #2 RPI while Arkansas is #19. Why do you think Wichita State who was ranked #12 nationally is a 7 seed in the tourney??? KU #1 SOS and winning their 11th straight Big12 title in a league that put 7/10 teams in the tourney gave them a 2 seed. Even tough KU had a national ranking of #10.
