Jazz- Stockton/Malone (#1 ASST all time/#2 scoring all time)

Suns - Barkley, KJ, Majerle, Ceballos, are a close 2nd

Jordan never faced a team on par with the surrounding talent he had with the Bulls.

Jordan vs. Malone - well Pippen was better than Stockton.

Jordan vs. Barkley - same thing - Pippen was better the Johnson.

This does not include other very good players like Grant, Kukoc, Rodman, Harper and even Cartwright whom Jordan played with. Jordan was always on the superior team in terms of talent even if you remove him and the most talented player on the other team.

Pippen may be the most underrated player of all time. He could do it all. My favorite player ever.

I agree that the Suns were the best overall. Ainge and Marjle (sp?) were lethal behind the arc.

What about when he swept the the back to back champions? Ending the Bad Boy era.

Good call. Clyde the glide

It really is a shame that a lot those great players of the 90s never got to the top of the mountain because it was always occupied by the Bulls.

He faced the #1 seed out the west 5 of the 6 times he went to the Finals. So it's not like he was getting free passes.

On paper I think it should've been 93 Suns, but they went down 2-0 on their home court.

Best team who had the best chance of beating Chicago was the 1997 Jazz. Chicago won game 5 by 2 and game 6 by 4.

the sonics in 96 who beat CC to go on to the Finals won 30 of 36 post all star break and 64 games overall. That was a damn good team that featured a little of everything

Pretty sure the 91 Blazers were the best team he faced from a SRS standpoint.

ETA: The 90-91 Blazers were great, but Jordan faced the 91-92 Blazers, who were a step down from the previous year.

Question for the older posters, were any of the teams Jordan faced as bad as the 2011 Mavs?

Based on SRS, Jordan's opponents:

97 Utah - 7.97
96 Seattle - 7.40
92 Blazers - 6.94
91 Lakers - 6.73
93 Phoenix - 6.27
98 Utah - 5.73

No, but the Mavs did sweep the Lakers that year, which was pretty damn impressive.

Since we know where this is going already, LeBron's Finals opponents:

2007 Spurs - 8.35
2011 Mavs - 4.41
2012 OKC - 6.44
2013 SAS - 6.67
2014 SAS - 8.00
2015 GS - 10.01
2016 GS - 10.38
2017 GS - 11.35

So the worst Finals opponent between them was the 2011 Mavs, but LeBron has faced 5 opponents better than any team Jordan saw.

That's pretty much what everyone assumes, isn't?

And damn, Lebron really fricked up that Mavs series. That was a huge mistake
