I had him at #5 in my preseason rankings, and the #2 pitcher(Allard #4), but honestly after hearing all the hype and glowing reports out of Orlando, I might would have him #3 behind Dansby and Acuna.

He's hitting 97 on the radar consistently, and that curve is already a plus pitch.

He will be in the rotation next year, and could be a true #1. He has the fastball and curve of Clayton Kershaw. Now, he isnt anything close to a top 10 pitcher of all time, but those two pitches can be about that good.

Tampa's top young pitcher, Blake Snell, is very similar to Fried. Probably his best comp right now.
