Also, I hope Mac returns to some form.

My main concern is that the injuries are just taking a toll on him. He's been bad for about a year and a half now.

Yeah.

We just need to hope he gets healthy and that the extra motivation of him going into his most important contract year will be the makings of a big year for him.

They get some of them right (like Darwin Barney at 2B), but flub up so many others based on narrative (like Cargo? WTF? Prado was miles better than Cargo in LF).

Cargo over Prado was the biggest travesty. He isn't even a good defensive outfielder. In fact...this year he was fricking awful.

Someone needs to sit down with him and really hammer it home that he needs to lose weight. Fat catchers don't have long careers. Especially when they can't move to 1B. He needs to do P90x with Prado this offseason and lose 20 pounds.

I in no way endorse making a move for this guy, but what do you guys think of Cody Ross?

If he does not make a deal with the Red Sox by midnight Friday, he is on the open market. Granted, he is 31 and could end up being another Jason Bay (He left Boston at age 30).

I just read an article where the writer compares a current players contract, Josh Willingham 3year 21 million, to what Ross could reasonably expect to demand. Although I believe he would want much more than that, that would be a very affordable figure with roughly $25 million to play with.

Anyone want this guy? I personally think he is a douchebag, much like volfan30

Meh. Dude is overrated by some. He's a 2 win player.

If the Braves go for him, it better mean it's because they have re-signed Bourn.

Ryan Ludwick declined his 5-million dollar option. So another right-handed corner outfield prospect.

Boys, I have managed to start a general baseball blog with a good friend of mine (a Nationals fan, no less).

There isn't much content, yet and we still have a few site things to iron out, but I thought I'd share our first post here, since I wrote it about Chipper Jones.

It's really long and probably boring, but nevertheless, here ya go:

I'll check it out this afternoon when given a little more time.

I disagree. Barney is just a beneficiary of severe shifts imo.

Way too long.

After writing it, I realized I did it for me

I actually cut down about 1,300 words of it.

Eh, I watched him play a lot.

Not a ton of flair to his game, but great range and rarely makes mistakes.
