I think they will be bad next year but much more watchable. Watching Dansby, Albies, Mallex, Newcomb, Blair, etc. every day won't be nearly as bad.

There is zero reason to tune in and watch Reid Brignac, Erick Aybar and AJP night after night.

I think they trade Julio, Inciarte and Markakis. Those 3 should net at least one substantial piece, probably multiple. That would leave

C: Trade/FA Acquisition (maybe Wieters?)
1B: Freeman
2B: Albies
SS: Swanson
3B: Ruiz
CF: Mallex

Corner OFs: Trades

Rotation

Blair
Newcomb
Wisler
?
?

Bullpen
Viz
Simmons
Rodriguez
Folty
?
?
?

Still a lot left in the minors obviously, but that is much more watchable than what we're currently running out there.

Probably too optimistic, but could see a 2017 lineup of

1b- Freeman
2b/SS - Swanson/Albies (either way)
3b- Ruiz
RF - Markakis or Enciarte
CF- Smith
LF- Free Agent (or Garcia/enciarte platoon)
C- Free Agent

Tehran, Wisler and maybe Chacin along with whatever guys step up in the rotation....maybe add a 2nd tier vet.

Saw Albies Thursday in Jacksonville. No fricking way that guy is 5ft 9 unless every other player out there is 7ft 1.

Still he had a couple of hard hit balls. Lots of pop coming off the bat for such a little guy.
