Chip is very meh, but Joe is a damn good color guy when he isn't threatening people on air.

I am pretty convinced at this point that he played hurt almost all of last year. He had some mechanical issues, but I think a lot of that was the result of injuries. The ball is jumping off his bat like it did his rookie year. Even when he got hits last year, he wasn't hitting the ball hard very often. He is striking out a lot more this year, but his power numbers are also better. Seems like he is evolving a bit as a player. Now he needs to work on getting hits with guys on base.

yea i think the biggest thing this year is him staying healthy

He could be a .900 OPS guy who steals 20 a year possibly

What the frick happened to the bats? We don't see Kershaw and we aren't even going to score 10 runs in the series.

I'm really hoping we don't see the Dodgers in the playoffs, simply because Kershaw, Capuano, and Billingsly have pretty awesome stats against our players for the most part, sub .650 OPS type stuff. I'm not sure what the hell happened versus Harang though, we usually own him.

Gotta score some runs here. Minor doesn't deserve another L because the offense doesn't score him any fricking runs.

Seriously. Including today he's had 1 run or less scored for him in 4 of his last 6 starts, and 2 runs or less in 5 of his last 6 starts.

With the additions of Victorino and Hanley, Dodgers may just be the team to beat in the NL now.

I'd just put The Nats, us, the Reds, and the Dodgers in a big group together. I wouldn't be surprised if any made it to the WS. All are pretty even on paper.

With the trades I think you can argue Dodgers are most complete. A lineup with Kemp, Hanley, and Victorino is just ridiculous.

Anyone else think we should just shut McCann down for the year? He is hitting .111 in August. His shoulder is obviously bothering him to the point that he is doing the lineup more harm than good.

Yeah, I;d agree at this point, he should just go ahead and have surgery and be ready for next year.

Well, this inning has turned into a comedy of errors.

Meh, 4 years ago maybe as far as Hanley and Victorino go. Victorino is only amazing these days when he plays us. Hanley has been much better in LA, but I don't think you can say he's all the way back for sure yet. LA had a terrible offense before they got those two, now they just have a decent offense.
