Yeah, I mean, this is much needed. Outside of a good month, he's been pretty dreadful offensively and not much better defensively. My only complaint is this should have happened 2 weeks ago.
Dansby will be fine. I doubt he becomes the perennial all star that many hoped for, but he will still be a solid regular for us for a long time. He will figure things out.

We need dominate pitching more than anything. We will be fine at SS either way. We started the year with two of our starters in their early 40s. There was no way that was going to turn out well. Don't get me started on Alex Wood.

How have they jeopardized Dansby's chances? Is he so mentally weak that getting sent down for poor play is going to ruin him forever?
It isn't just hurting his chances to succeed. It's wasting his service time by rushing him to the majors with a non competing team last season and them keeping him up too long this season. Now he will enter arbitration a year earlier which hurts a mid market team like the Braves. Mistakes like that prove costly in the future and if they make the same mistake with Albies/Acuna this season and next season I will be even more concerned.

I'd be more worried if they were letting a first time manager, with a one year contract, call all the shots when it came to the orgs number 1 prospect.

They rushed him and he was on every ad in the offseason trying to get people excited for the new season/stadium. It was unnecessary. The fact that he was wasting service time at the mlb level on the bench was terrible. I still believe in Dansby, but like others have said, I have lost a little faith in coppy/hart for how they have handled this.
Snitker just sucks. Fredi 2.0. We missed out of Bud Black for this clown, too.

They rushed him and all of you were happy about it. Sit down and stop fricking crying.

Nothing gets LE more excited than an opportunity to troll Braves fans.

Even if Dansby never puts it all together they won that trade hands down because of Inciarte.
Dansby becoming even an average MLB SS would be icing on the cake.

Lol who is not going to be excited to see a top 5 prospect, former #1 overall pick debut? Everyone knew in that thread that he wasn't exactly lighting AA up but we had been watching Chase d'Arnaud and Erick Aybar play SS. And let's not forget he was pretty solid last year when he came up.
But once it was obvious Snitker was going to ride the Camargo BABIP wave (around July 4), why not send him down then? They have wasted 3 weeks of service time by letting him rot on the bench. I think that's what most itt are complaining about.

And speaking of what the frick I still haven't forgotten the time you mocked me for suggesting the Braves shouldn't include Freeman in the trade for J Up.

not sure the book is quite closed on Miller yet

Gohara promoted to Gwinnett and Touki to Mississippi.

Meanwhile the D-Backs will have to wait another year to find out if that book is closed or not. Pretty sure the Braves won that one.

Meanwhile this Braves season is a wash anyway. Let's talk next year. Maybe Swanson will be recalled by then

Oh so we should stay optimistic on a guy who posted ERA's of 6.15 and 4.09 over the past 2 seasons and won't pitch again until he's about 28 due to Tommy John surgery...
...but let's laugh at the 23 year old who just got demoted? Makes total sense. Brilliant really.
