I have to say, I am quite loving the droll expression on Ervin Santana. A former AL pitcher getting a good hit? no change. 6 shut out innings? no change.

SO, you are a Met batter. The pitcher has pretty much thrown a strike on just about every first pitch to every batter he has seen. What do you do? You watch the first pitch go across the plate with the bat on your shoulder. I can see why they have yet to score this game.

Technically the ball travels farther in humid air, scientifically speaking
Higher humidity means more water and less oxygen. H2O (18 g / mole) and less oxygen (32 g/mole) and nitrogen (28 g/mole).
