I think Olivera will be fine offensively, but I think he may find himself in left sooner rather than later.
Yeah, I'd imagine Olivera will be closer to a .800 OPS guy than the low .700 guy he's shown so far, but I don't think his defense makes it long term at 3rd, and he apparently is much worse at 2nd.

Kinda weird to see Touki up so high still. I know his ceiling is off the charts, but at some point you have to produce too.
Either way, that's a damn fine top 10.

Arodys Vizcaino and Chris Withrow (Withrow by 2 service days) both qualify for Super 2 status.
Full Braves arb projections from MLBTR:
Mike Minor (Arb 3/4) – $5.6MM
Shelby Miller (Arb 1/3) – $4.9MM
Arodys Vizcaino (Arb 1/4) – $1.1MM
Pedro Ciriaco (Arb 1/3) – $800K
Chris Withrow (Arb 1/4) – $600K
Ciriaco likely to be non-tendered though.

Nice read about the potential arms we have for the future. Nice to see Riley developing so rapidly, we need bats desperately

Riley was very impressive. I just hope his glove can end up being decent enough.

I read somewhere that the organization made Touki use his secondary stuff a lot more once he was traded. They know what he can do with his fastball, but they want him to develop his other pitches, instead of leaning on it like a crutch. Thats probably the main reason he was so bad in Rome.

David O'brien tweeting great things about Lucas Sims performance today, says his path to the rotation is on the upswing

Also, Hector O is playing left field in winter ball.

Hector is being moved to the outfield full time. Bo Porter is working with him in Puerto Rico

MLBTR released their top 50 FA today.
They project the Braves to sign Tyler Clippard (#36) to a 3-year, $18M deal.
Also list them as contenders for Matt Wieters (#15, 4-yr, $64M to WSH), Darren O'Day (#33, 3-yr, $22.5M to BOS) and Austin Jackson (#35, 1-yr, $12M to BAL).
Other notable FAs
#2 Heyward (10-yr, $200M to NYY)
#4 JUp (7-yr, $147M to WSH)

If balt, extended a qo like I believe they did, I'd pass on MW

They did extend a QO.
I don't think we will be involved either.
If you are going to lose a pick (even a 2nd rounder), it better be for a true difference maker imo or fill a huge need on a contender.

Couple of notes:
Dian Toscano is officially cleared.
Braves will not pursue Weiters.
Sims started the Afl all star game. Sat anywhere from 94-96. Had a good looking breaking ball.
