The ATL Offseason Thread: Tears of Coppy Edition

Well the offseason for the Barves has been nothing short of...odd.

If you've been living under a rock the following has occured:

- GM John Coppolella resigned amid numerous allegations of rules violations both domestic and foreign player-related.

- Rumors have been flying across the interwebz and there's no clue what the penalties will be. Some fear that Kevin Maitan and/or Drew Waters might be at risk. Other's speculate there will be penalties forbidding international signings and possibly loss of draft picks.

- Still no news as to who the new GM will be nor any rumors. Originally it was believe to be Dayton Moore but that talk died quickly.

- Manager Snitker was quietly retained for the 2018 season.

- Braves exercise option on catcher Tyler Flowers but declined option for R.A. Dickey.

Now for some good news:

-Ronald Acuna and Austin Riley have been arguably the 2 best position players in the Arizona Fall League.
- They are 3rd and 1st respectively in OPS.

- Max Fried has likely been the best pitcher in the AFL. He has the most innings pitched, most strikeouts, and boasts a 1.96 ERA

- SB Nation's John Sickels says Acuna is "best overall prospect in baseball with superstar potential"
