BREAKING: Terry Rozier is facing new federal charges alleging he accepted $100K to intentionally underperform in a March 2023 Hornets game.
He played 10 minutes, scoring 5 points and 2 assists before exiting.

The indictment says he only received about $70k because he finished with 4 REB and “went over his betting line.”

He even fricked that up, lol

I don’t understand how it’s worth it to pay terry $100k. If you place a large bet on him, that will get flagged

Not necessarily… you wouldn’t believe the caliber of players the degenerates put large bets on all the time…

I’m not familiar with this case?

How do you underperform if you only played for 10 minutes?

Did he typically have those numbers on average that season when only playing for 10 minutes?

And he threw his NBA career, any future endorsements, and his freedom away for a small fraction of that.

What a maroon.

Not if it was a known injury he was dealing with and playing through. He also played no more games the rest of the season.

Prosecutors said Rozier used a leg injury that he was dealing with late in the 2022-23 season as the reason to pull himself out of the game and was to receive $100,000 for his troubles, while gamblers placed total wagers of more than $258,700 on the under on Rozier’s stats for that particular game.

looks like during 2022-23 2023-2024 seasons he average between 16- 20 points a game. So him only making it 10 minutes seems odd.

When was this alleged?

I could be WAY off, but I thought this happened a couple years ago?

I don’t think it was a super known thing that it was this easy to spot this stuff when he did it. Plus he’s an idiot maybe?

Idfk.
