This is very long, so I understand if it's TL/DR. But Peter King followed Carson Palmer around as the Cardinals prepared to play the Browns.

It highlights one of the frustrating things about our offense; Bruce Arians scouts the opponents and runs plays to specifically attack weaknesses or set up future plays with an idea of why he wants to attack. I don't get the impression LSU does that; it feels like we do what we think we do well, regardless of what the defense does. That's my frustration anyway.

Have you ever seen an LSU game plan?
Would you understand it if you did?

Interesting, GM, that supposed genius leading Auburn, only has 4 running plays in his playbook.

It's a "high school" offense at Auburn, but it is one that takes advantage of current rules, wide hashes, spread-out defenses and the HUNH to confuse and tired opponents

LSU runs the most basic of pro-style offenses for the most part with a limited passing tree and predictability based on formations/personnel.

LSU definitely tried to attack Arkansas' weakness last week. It just failed miserably.

While I think this criticism holds some merit, Comparing the NFL to college football shows your lack of understanding.

I can promise you LSU uses an entire route tree. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool.

Watching Auburn play offense this year is cringeworthy.

Yeah, that offense is as dependent on good dual-threat QB play as any.

The problem isn't the route tree. The problem is LSU generally runs 2 man routes with extremely predictable play calling. All opposing defenses really need to do is man up with a safety covering over the top. Which ever direction the ball is thrown, the safety slides over. Allows the second safety to play in the box without giving up much in coverage.

Right. It's not the long-term answer to compete for championships without elite QB play.

Random fact of the day:

Mike Dubose, yes Mike Dubose former head coach of Luverne High School in southeast Alabama, was Bruce Arians boss 18 years ago.
