Well sure they dont all throw 96, but there are certainly guys who can get it up there. You are correct that the location/consistency is an issue. What organization is he a part of?

Tebow finished instructs batting .286 with an OBPS of .375.

The Mets will now decide if he plays in the Arizona Fall League

I would think that he would absolutely play in the fall league. After the fall league the Mets will have a much better idea of what they game in Tim Tebow.

I kinda want to see this happen. AFL is a pretty huge step up from instructs. Instructs are low minors guys with a potential future. Arizona Fall League is for guys expected to be in the Majors the following summer or the year after. It's difference of probably 3 years on the development curve usually.

Jake: If we are going to focus on the SSS of Tebow yesterday, how about we discuss the 5 outs in 6 at bats against players ten years younger

Keith Law: How about we ignore him like the washed-up quarterback he is?

We had an ASSISTANT AD where I played college baseball who didn't know how it worked. This was a D-1 program in the A-10.

One of our ex-teammates got drafted the summer prior, next fall we're at an event and he asks us, "so does he go straight to the majors or is it likely he'll be cut and will have to sign with a minor league team?"

Where do they find these people?!??!

How long will the Fall League season last?

I certainly wish Tebow the best.

You want me to express how much he will struggle?

What's your statistical definition of struggle mightily?

He wants you on the record.

I think he will strike out a lot and struggle to get hits. I wish him well but think he will have a tough time against that level of talent after being a baseball player for 2 weeks.

If this shite somehow happens its going to be the best sports movie ever. Holy shite the scene where Tim leaves an interleague game in Boston (or hell, let's go all the way-- a World Series game) to visit A-Hern at Fall River or where ever is going to win whoever plays Tebow an Oscar.

Greg Bird serving as the DH and batting 4th, Miguel Andjuar hitting right behind him and playing 3B...And Tim Tebow plays LF and bats 7th. LINK

Pretty boring without any drama or female actors.
