GM's offered to give him a look at other positions & the CFL was open to him playing QB. He declined and only wanted calls from people who wanted him to play QB.

Seriously, what's the big deal? That makes him an insufferable pest?

He's not a QB in the NFL and McDaniel was an idiot for drafting him in the first round. If you really wanted to be in the league and be a team player, you would at least try to make some impact at another position. Randall Cobb,Julian Edelman & Antwaan Randle El all found ways to crave a place into their team by doing so.

I just curious what exactly he's going to bring to ESPN [besides the obvious PR move]. Is he going to be that guy who digs back into his playing days for some cliche football line or will he actually being dissecting defensive units? [ which would be somewhat comical]

Maybe one day he will try to play another position.
It's pretty fricking dumb to not like the guy because he's choosing not to tryout as a TE or something.

Being a tad bit overdramatic are we... So football players who speak their faith are pests now?!?!
Your such a fracking moron, if he'd played for LSU you'd be wearing Tebow underwear.

why would it be comical? he seemed to do a good job of it in college. its not like theyre asking him to be a pro analyst or anything in which case i would agree with you.

That's not it at all.

I just think he handled the situation extremely poorly. Also, I'll admit that calling him a "insufferable pest" a bit much. But, I was actually enjoying the couple of months where we didn't hear anything from the made up drama network that ESPN has become.

Alright, how exactly did he handle the situation poorly?
Refresh my memory, I don't remember it that well.

He's a flaming liberal and he hates Tebow because he's a Christian and has the nerve to be proud about it.

I haven't mentioned his politics at all in this thread. I just think the way he handled leaving the NYJ was pretty piss poor. Especially if you "love" the game so much.

Espn is now just finding any way it can to piss off the majority of its viewers as a big "frick y'all, you have no choice but to watch us"

I just can't stand to hear him speak and I'm not even talking about the content. He sounds like a HS kid at the front of class trying to read as fast as he can to get through a speech.

I figured he would end up being an Assistant Coach with Urban at Ohio State.

nothing, but Tebow needs to realize he isn't smart enough to be an NFL qb. dude could never learn playbooks or read defenses.

He handled being cut by a team that really only signed him to be a sideshow poorly?

Tebow was nothing but gracious to the Jets organization for giving him an opportunity.

That's a fair criticism. If he can't speak coherently, his ESPN career will be short lived.
