It's a great example, as mentioned in the post.

Besides, who wouldn't want to talk about Superman?

People don't like cam because he comes off as being really fake. I don't necessarilly believe that because I have a friend who knows him and says he's a good dude, but for whatever reason he comes off fake. And the leadership questioning wasn't just from the "haters", that was coming from pretty much everywhere earlier in his career, although I think it's improved a lot the last couple years.

His numbers and records say otherwise. Must have chapped that arse to watch him break Herschel's record against da Dawgs.

I wouldn't say he is a bad qb, just not good enough to make it in the NFL. He's a great college qb; that's a long way from being a bad qb. He may be mediocre, but that also is a long way from bad qb.

I hated on him when he was at FU but you always hate on the stars from a rival team. I never had anything against him on a personal level.

People do it with Cam Newton all the time, even though he was squeaky clean during high-school, at Blinn Junior College, at Auburn and the entire time he has been in Carolina. He is always doing things for underprivileged kids and always trying to help in the community. He's still attending classes at Auburn and will graduate soon. How many former players do that? Yet, for some reason, people think his days at Florida represent his true persona. And they think a touchdown celebration somehow translates to a "me first" attitude and for some reason people say he is a loser and terrible leader. Pure ignorance.

One of them got kicked off a football team for cheating. How is that in any way the same as Tebow?

I am not a religious person at all, but I think Tebow is a fantastic human. Props to him!

Yeah didn't cam get kicked out of Florida for committing crimes?

Then there are those question behind his recruitment to auburn.

He's been in college since '08. Still no degree....

I'll never understand how people can hate that dude.

I don't think it is so much that people hated him, but got very very tired of hearing about him.

The media made people "hate" him.

You might say the same about Peyton Manning and even Johnny Manziel. People "hated" him before he became a complete arse.
