There really is no argument to be made for him as being in the top tier

Exactly. Kaep isn't that good (I wouldn't put him in the top half of the league) and no GM is putting his job on the line to over pay someone at the QB position that you don't know what is going to come out of his mouth or actions.
Would love to ask these jackasses saying it racist to not sign Kaep, "why would I sign him?" He isn't what I would call "the future" of a NFL team.

You could say this about more than half the league.

I would agree about half. But that is the point, why sign this guy, after all the bad pub last year, to lead your offense. You can probably get someone cheaper and less of a pub risk and still have the same record.

Haven't watched ESPN since they adopted this social justice bullshite years ago.

With sportscenter Now irrelevant due to technology, ESPN chose the social justice path.

People used to watch ESPN to get away from the politics of the day.

What about the fact that he's a terrible qb?

It's the attention from his overt political stance that polarized everyone and he hasn't won since 2013. Was pretty steady last season only 4 INTs, would make a capable backup or possible starter somewhere that struggles at QB.
