So you are a 20 Handicap and hit drives 310? Sounds legit.

Like I said I think we have similar distances an I tried the C-stiff myself and man I couldn't hit it unless I swung out my shoes. I play a stiff flex, but hey it's all about what you're comfortable with

FWIW, there were 5 players on tour last year that Avg. 310.

Well for starters, I said furthest. Not Avg.

Secondly, there are big drivers everywhere. They are not pros because their short game sucks.

Driving the ball well does not in any way mean you are a good golfer.

He didn't say he averaged 310 he said his furthest drive he walked off last time was 310... When I was a 20 handicap I still drove the ball as far as I do now as a 9, hell probably further actually. But I don't catch it solid as much and was much worse with irons and around the greens. 20 handicap doesn't mean he's terrible, there are a lot of different reasons for a high score...

How far do you hit a 5 iron on average?

I have tried to not like you based on your answer to that drive question, but I can't not like you. It's just that there is plenty of bullshite posted in driver threads.

You said the last time you measured. So you just happened to measure the longest ball you ever hit? If I measured off every drive in a round there wouldn't be 10 yds difference unless there are major variables (wind, elevation..etc...). I just have a hard time believing I am the only one on this board that doesn't drive a ball 300+ yards.

Only time I pull out a 5 iron is for a punch shot.

That is one club I cannot hit.

Dont go higher than a 6. Have a 4 and 5 hybrid I use.

Again, if you hit the ball as far as you claimed and everything from 6-W is good, you wouldn't be a 20. Plus, what kind of course are you playing where you are a 20 and you hit a ball 300 yards and have a 5 iron or more into a green?

It sounds like you have decent club head speed based on your drives. A stiffer shaft, TP version, may work better for you.

I have heard a lot of people talk about 5 iron distance being the best way to figure out whether you have slow, moderate, or fast club swing.

Was trying out the R11 that day as I mentioned.

I looked on the first hole to see how far it went; I struck it well and it was down the middle. So I wanted to take note.

The other holes, as I mentioned, I was not as lucky. Only got 1 or 2 more drives in the fairway with the regular stiff shaft.

Huh? It's called consistency. It's typically a nice thing to have when ball striking. I mean christ we aren't talking 30 yds difference. Then I'd be shitty.

Easily, you said you played right?

Let's say 430 yard hole; best case scenario
1. Drive (assuming in the fairway BCS)
2. probably an in between club 2nd shot. Most of the time short, long, left or right
3. Chip. Assuming I land on the green to simplify this
4-5. No way the chip is close; 2 putt (best case scenario again)

Sunday I had 2 pars. The rest were bogeys, doubles, couple triples.

that 20 is easy to reach when you cant chip or putt well

Lol we're talking drivers not 6 irons... You're telling me you hit every drive in a round within 10 yards of each other? Pros aren't even that consistent off the tee bro
