Went to a game at Tropicana Field. My god what a terrible terrible place to watch a baseball game.

Why don;t they have a new stadium by now?

They need to pack up and move their arse down I-4 to Orlando.

They would get a brand new stadium and would have a world class city name in Orlando and would be in the middle of Florida.

Tampa is such a dump of a city compared to Orlando.

Why in the world would the Rays want to stay in Tampa (st Pete)

They are getting zero support and their stadium is fricking awful

Doesn't matter if you move them to Orlando. Florida fans are the absolute worst. All yankees.

Sigh. They owe millions on their trop lease. The last yes vote wants $55 million to cover lost revenue for the remaining 13 years and the Rays to give up their % of any future development of the trop. The Rays wanted to be in Pinellas or Hillsborough county and have a partially tax payer funded stadium but St. Pete said no in December. So here we are.
As for fans, no one wants to drive an hour or more in rush hour traffic to and from the Trop.

Should move to Portland or Nashville or Montreal - preferably the latter as it wouldn't screw up divisions

Northwest Florida doesn't fit your proposition. It's not like Central / South Florida, not at all.

They need to pack up and move to Nashville. Nashville gets good crowds for mid-week Minor League games. And it wouldnt screw up the division. 1.5 flight to Baltimore and 2 hours to New York and Boston

50 MILLION people visit Orlando every year. Put a stadium near the tourist district and they will fill that stadium every night.

There were probably 8k at last night's game if that and it was a terrible baseball game experience in Tampa. Not very fun or exciting at all
