You can all thank Lunhow for this shitshow. Worst off season moves I've ever seen and also paid a kings ransom for the cancer in CF. The gift that keeps on giving.

Gomez isn't a cancer. He's struggling at the plate but he's certainly not a cancer. It's really easy to call it a shitty trade in hindsight.

Gomez has the tools to be one of the best outfielders in baseball. I still have faith that he'll figure it out.

We can also thank Luhnow for our playoff birth last year and our MVP candidate shortstop.

You're certainly giving your best LSUGranddad and tickfawtiger impression.

Gomez actually the most comfortable at the plate last night that he has all year. The steal really killed me though. I agree that I don't think he's a cancer at all, he's just pressing way too hard to make something happen.

I give him credit for drafting correa. The rest of your post I disagree with. He did nothing to address starting pitching aside from a washed up puss throwing fister.

The catcher position is shite and he somehow made it worse.

Traded a lot of pitching prospects for marginal players gomez fires and giles. Giles may get it corrected but I still believe he overpaid. The other two are who they are.

Why? He had to try it.

I don't think he had to. He hasn't run well all year. If it were Altuve or Springer I would have been fine with it but Gomez hasn't looked comfortable running full speed this year.

I'm probably one of the biggest Gomez defenders on here but it was another example of him trying to do too much

You hit the nail on the head.

He cares so much, you can see it in the way he plays the game. With those obvious struggles you can tell he's pressing to try and make something happen.

If he could just relax, he is so naturally talented, things are going to start turning. You just can't start make them turning on your own.

Have we confirmed he wasn't given a steal signal though?

Didn't the stros lose the 1st of 3 game set vs Mariners last year at end of April and then rolled 10 straight to get going good on the year?

I'm feeling its time for a repeat of that.

ETA: Nevermind it was the last of the 3 game set but it was a 3-2 loss at Seatle April 22nd that then lead to 10 game win streak.

This team will go on a hot streak, I don't have a doubt in my mind. The talent is there. I just hope we aren't too far in the gutter by that point

Yeah they will get hot and reel off a few. Hitting like .140 with RISP is just statistically unsustainable and won't continue. It may be too late at that point though.

That and starting every game almost immediately down 2 or 3 to 0 is tough to always overcome.

The starters have really sucked in the first inning as group. It's amazing really.
