That's awesome and good for him.

Cubs organization really need to try to do something for him. Assuming they haven't tried already.

Some Cubs fans probably will still give him grief that this should be the second title.

They said on ESPN this morning that the cubs have reached out to him multiple times, he just doesn't want the spotlight.

It is reported Bartman lives in the Chicagoland area and has been attending Cub games not being noticed.

In all seriousness, it's probably pretty easy for him to go to games. The only picture anyone has seen of him is from 13 years ago, and he's wearing glasses, a hat and a turtleneck. He could look completely different now, and most likely does since he's aged a decade and a half.

Aside from name recognition, he can probably navigate Chicago pretty freely. He probably has been for years, since he's not the most recallable face. All anyone remembers are the glasses, hat, turtleneck and headphones. I doubt he's strolling through Wrigleyville wearing that getup

The guy has an active twitter feed and is a full bore Cubs fan. He has been a class act through the whole thing. The Cubs need to do something for the guy for sure.

If it's true that he's gone to games then he has to look drastically different now. No way that someone wouldn't recognize him if he looked similar

Not really. That was over 10 years ago and people really only still have that picture of him in the hat and turtle neck to go on. I bet maybe less than 10% of Cubs fan could actually identify him today.

If I was Bartman I would give the big to the Cubs organization and fans. The way he was treated that night was beyond awful, and why I will NEVER root for that organization.

That's a bit far imo. The organization didn't do shite. In fact, they've reached out to him a bunch. He chooses to stay out of it all and the Cubs respect that. I'm sure the % of fans that actually blamed him is pretty low.

Even if the entire stadium wanted him dead that would still be less than 1% of total Cubs fans. The place only seats 41K.

well that's what's so shitty about it...."hey now that we've won the series, let's bring Steve back to cheer him on so we can feel better about how we pretty much ruined a guy's entire life over a baseball game! We forgive you Steve"

Every single Cubs fan watching that game blamed him that night just about. I really think you have forgotten how bad it was for that poor guy.

This. Only person I saw stick up for him was Michael Wilbon.

So much this. "Hey Steve, 95% of our fans were huge assholes to you for something totally out of your control, but WE forgive YOU!!!"

This is the most over used line on this site. Its ridiculous. "His life is ruined". No it isnt. If he lost both of his arms, legs and eyesite then maybe you could say that.

If he got into a wreck and became a vegetable, then his life would be ruined.

If he went to jail for life, I guess you could say that.

You people that use this line sound like teenage girls.

Well, he essentially became shut-in in his own city.
