Yeah, in the international game which is even more reliant 3 point shooting why would anyone assume that the greatest shooter who has ever lived would have had a spot.

That's good. He would have made the roster imo even with everyone healthy and wanting to play.

With this lineup he's a lock.

If Westbrook doesn't play then it gets pretty interesting at PG.

Wall/Kyrie/Lillard? Not loving that but that would have to be what we roll with.

reason # 109 he can't hold Larry Birds jock strap. Bird wouldn't let a bruised knee stop him from representing his country in the Olympics. SMH

Its not always like this but the trend for Team USA under K has been 3 PGs and 1 Center. Typically he likes lots of versatile wings at the SF and PF that can play multiple positions. He likes playing SFs at the 4 and PFs at the 5 a lot.

Yea, i used 2012 a loose template.

It will come down to whether you think taking a guy like Lillard over George is more beneficial. George to me is a more versatile defender & bigger mismatch offensively. Do you really need Lillard's handles as a 4th PG when just about every forward on the team is comfortable with the ball in their hands?

The Center is rarely going to play, but in 12 they took Chandler, and AD was pretty much the next guy. So I think they take 2 legit bigs with them in Cousins and Drummond.

Draymond replaces Love from the 12' roster
Kawhi replaces Iggy

Klay---> Kobe
Kyrie----> Deron
Wall--->Westbrook

then George as the swing player, taking CP3's roster spot.

With the virus prevalent in Brazil, the US may not send ANY athletes to Rio.

We probably don't need it but I'd really like a distributor on the roster in case things get close one game and we need Klay to go HAM on a country.

Underrated reason for the non-super young athletes to skip-- you can't try and have kids for like 8 months after visiting a hot zone.

OTOH, if anyone up for the squad parties like Kemp or Magic-- its a perfect built in excuse to get your side pieces to take Plan B.

International rules favor that kind of play. On the upside the NBA's going that way now so it's not like we'll be trying to go iso anymore.

Are nut shots allowed in the Olympics? Because Draymond needs to know how to play this one.
