It's the right choice in any generation. There's an open time slot on the same day the game was originally scheduled. Move the game back 7 hours to give the city more time to make the roads safe.

Most people would call that a smart move. Only a few would call that a pussy move.

So why didn't they move the game back in 1979?????

There have been many games that have had situations like his and were played... Its FRICKING FOOTBALL.. Its meant to be played in the elements... If the fans can't make it ..TOO BAD.............

How in the almighty frick would I know? Maybe the roads weren't iced over. Maybe it was just snow. Maybe the road crews had enough to make the roads safe. Maybe, and here's a novel idea, it wasn't the right move.

Are you really arguing that pushing the game back to make travel safer for the fans is the wrong move?

They are still playing the game. On the same day. In the cold.

Your inability to grasp simple concepts continues to amaze me.

They should just wait until the last minute and, when there's no other choice, cancel the game altogether.

Gee... You missed my point... I don't care if the fans can make it to the game... ITS FOOTBALL... It was made to be played in the elements... ICE,SNOW, WIND, RAIN, MUD..ETC... THAT is what I am talking about.... Todays NFL players are PUSSIES compared to past players and so is the league office......

If they move the game... I DON'T care... I am talking about past history[which you know NOTHING about]....

GFY........

I'm kinda surprised there wasn't a Sunday night game planned all along. I mean, a lot of people are off Monday - government workers, students, people in the financial industry. And I don't think of MLK being a big travel weekend, because it's so soon after Christmas and the weather is usually shitty in mid-January.

Do you dispute that it's the right move to push the game back?

Nobody is missing your point, your point just has nothing to do with why they are moving the game. If you didn't act like a drunk psychopath every time someone disagrees with you maybe you would be included in the conversation

Yeah, the Steelers and Oilers definitely played that game in an ice storm. My son was telling me about the game time change, and I told him about the 79 Championship game with the Steelers and Oilers sliding all over the Three Rivers turf and they didn't change times. Then I just read this on here.

YES... Play the game when it was supposed to be played... However I realize that the NFL is ALL about Money and having as many fans in the stands as possible... I have already said I want NOBODY hurt..SO... Back in the day Fans were STILL able to get to the games and they started when they were supposed to...

God damn you're a dumbass.

You're calling the smart, logical decision wrong. That it's pussy to move the game back 7 hours so the fans will be safer traveling. More concerned with looking tough than being smart.

Funny you would criticize the decision when the Chiefs are owned by the Hunt family which qualifies as one of the most right-wing looney-tune family in the history of American politics. I seriously doubt the Hunt family would meet your definition of pussies.

Ice Storm = Power Outage. Lets move the game from daytime to dark. We don't need no stinking lights
