How many of those do we have? The only two I can think of are Joe Montana and Joe Namath.

How many coaches have done it?

Carroll got his national title vacated. That leaves Switzer and Johnson. Any others?

I always thought Stabler did. I looked it up and he should have. Did Alabama get screwed in 1966 or what?

As much as it pains me to say as a LSU fan, it was the 04 team that got stripped so his 03 split championship should still count. Even though we would have beat that arse if we had played.

Jesus Christ, Alabama lost to Texas in their bowl game.

While Arkansas beat Nebraska to remain undefeated.

How can you claim that shite in good conscience?

Half the 60's-70's Alabama titles are shared or claimed over teams they lost to, like USC, Notre Dame, Arkansas.

Bear Bryant was like 2-11 during this period outside of the SEC. He sure could beat up on some white boys...but his teams were paper tigers outside of the SEC conference play.

Troy Aikmann should be honorable mention on this list. Started 4 games for the 85 Oklahoma national championship team. (Had season ending injury in game 4) and the team went on to win the NC with Jamelle Holieway, prompting Aikmann to transfer to UCLA the following year.
