Stanford's band did make fun of the Irish potato famine when playing at ND a while back. They are not allowed to come to ND any longer for that little stunt.

I don't find what they did offensive, and I like their band's philosophy, but what they did yesterday was try-hard and not particularly funny. It's an easy target, and they didn't even execute it all that well. If you're going to do stuff like that, at least be funny.

I was just speaking of the drum line playing a stopsign and a sink as drums. That reeks of trying to hard to be different.


I honestly only watched about 30 seconds of Stanford band. They panned along the drum line then it tool the band about 30 seconds to get in place because they are unorganized. ESPN then cut to a stadium shot, which was odd. Then to commercial.
