Stanford is LSU west in terms of philosophy but with MUCH more competent coaching if you watch them consistently and no one knows for sure what Wash is yet.. Possibly Tenn west?.. High expectations, could win every game but could have lost every game too?.. One thing goes wrong and you're just waiting for the implosion? (IMO both teams late wins in their first road games tonight are comparable)

Who ya got?

(I'm assuming I'll get a lot of Stanford responses)

Not sure where the Washington/Tenn comparisons come in. Butch Jones can't hold Chris Peterson'a proverbial clipboard.

I'll take Washington next week. Huge game for them, and I'll be there to take it in.

The comparisons come in the way I described them in the OP.. Lately when they have high expectations like TE has had last couple years in sec and WA has this year you're waiting for them to implode while watching them... Today seeing TE down 21-0 for ex and every big game for WA lately

frick it, give me UW too. At home, and I don't think Stanford is that good either.

Petersen is due for a run at the PAC and this is the year to do it IMO.

This will be a tough game for my beloved trees. U Dub has ruined our seasons before.

Huge game for both. Still early in the season, but they are the two best teams in the PAC-12. The UW schedule looks a lot easier now than it did at the beginning of the season. WSU, Oregon, USC aren't nearly as good as they were expected to be. They do have to play Utah & ASU from the south division, but they have a legitimate shot at the playoffs if they can win this week.

I'll be there as well. Even with it being a huge game, I'm curious to see how the 6pm start on a Friday will affect the crowd. That area is a mess on game days, let alone people trying to get there in the middle of rush hour.

If UW plays like they did last night, then Stanford will win. Being a home game should help though. UW opened up as 3 point favorites in Vegas.

UCLA gagged that game away against a highly overrated Stanford team...

....Stanford scored their only TD under a minute left to play in the game (not counting that last play garbage fumble return TD).

UW at home with that crowd, all day. You are not going to beat them kicking FGs all day.

I agree. This will turn out to be one of Shaw's weaker teams. While I still believe UW is a year away, the pac 12 is really bad this year so they could win it by default.

I got U Dub.

For all of Stanford's recent success, they always manage to drop a couple of games. They look ripe for the picking this week.

The new stadium is incredible. It will be a great opportunity to show it off with the clear weather and the national exposure on Friday. I'd highly recommend going for a big game. Our fans suck in blowout games. It's a race to get to their tailgate or The Zone at halftime, then if it's a blowout, they just never come back to their seats and it has the atmosphere of a scrimmage. Should be awesome on Friday though.

Yeah I've been thinking of buying my dad and I a ticket as a surprise gift but can't decide if he'd enjoy uw or Seahawks ticket.. If uw gets back to prominence its an obvious answer

I live in LA he in WY so it'd be a significant financial commitment for me, I just manage at a restaurant in central
