There are some points in there I actually agree with but that’s irrelevant. Someone remind me why I should care what a basketball coach thinks?

Just another rich celebrity convinced their opinion is important

I've done a decent amount of traveling outside of the US.

Everyone in this country is privileged.

Really?

Your dipshite Hollywood friends sure informed everyone that they were going to leave the country if Trump was elected.

That's a pretty big endorsement that suddenly you hate an entire country because you can't deal with someone you don't like in the White House.

Talk about infantile Pop.

Libs come out and talk and think they are being so wise and measured and they just come off as more infantile.

Where were Pops comments during the baby-crying protests over free speech appearances like Shapiro?

Madonna is cool - but nobody else? I can't believe I live in a country where one type of speech is cool but another isn't cool.

The left is getting their medecine for trying to silence speech for years and for this past year. I'm not surprised Trump hates their arse, the entertainment establishment has treated him like shite from Day 1.

He's just another hypocrite. His dog lost and he's pissed.

Like likes like.
The cafeteria effect is real and it isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Blacks sitting together doesn't mean they hate whites, it means they are more comfortable around their own kind. Imagine that

one group actively oppressing another that is wrong. He is right there. So pop should point out specific examples and let's work to improve it. Otherwise he is just bitching about macro concepts and doesn't offer jack shite but vitriol and arrogance

Do I believe a percentage of Americans are born into a world of privilege and affluency due to wealth they accumulated off the backs of others?!? Yes. Do I also believe that skin has zero relevancy in determining ones worth? Yep. If I were to believe all of these rhetoric behind the protests then a poor white kid raised by a trailer trash mama is gifted an imaginary leg up on a middle class minority child just because he is white.

Police brutality is another retort, but out of 39,000,000+ African-Americans in the US people can recite the names of roughly 30 who were killed by police over a three year period with mostly arguable justification. If the police are purposefully trying to kill black people then they are at a 0.00007% success rate over a three to four year span.

Economic equality? Education is the number one driver for economic success in America. Public spending by race is equal to slanted towards minority schools, so it's not money. Could it be gasp!!! A culture issue where education is not prioritized and a culture where single Parenthood is upwards of 70% is negating time that could be spent helping and supervising kids once they are home?

I guess I just don't get what is being protested and how a poor white kid who's school growing up was severely underfunded yet still managed to get a diploma and then work his way through school to achieve more is responsible for any of it. Yet I continue to hear broad rhetoric condemning me and telling me how easy I have it because of the color of my skin. The protestors and protest supporters want an open rhetoric to make change, well seize the day. Tell me how my statistics and facts are lies. Tell me how the system and not the culture is the major roadblock to success in this country. Tell me how Asian Americans who were essentially enslaved and placed in concentration camps have found success, but the system is what stops progress for minorities not home and culture. The floor is yours.

the solution is to listen and understand and empathize. Your fellow man is telling you that they are not being treated as equal. White people dismiss it because they dont "see" it. Well frick yea you dont see it. You are white and you enjoy that privilege.

why does it have to be physical?

You dont have any black friends? If you do, have you ever picked their brain about this? Why would you want your friends to hurt or feel this way? Why dont you ask them what you can do to help mend race relations? If you want to do something

You do know fair and equal are not the same thing right? Things can be fair and not be equal. Furthermore, things will never be equal. Everyone here gets a fair shake (it can be argued that some get a better chance than others due to affirmitive action), but the results may not be equal. That doesn't make it wrong.

Ok how is “equality” achieved? No one is presenting ways for this to happen, just we need “equality”. We’re all talking about it and apparently white people can’t have an opinion on it because we “don’t understand” what it’s like not to be white and apparently it’s offensive if white people try to offer an opinion on anything happening in the black community.
