What's the point though? You can gamble on anything you can imagine and more on sites like 5dimes. I don't see the allure of being able to go to a window and purchase a paper ticket when I can just as easily use my smartphone and place the bet from my couch.
"What's the point of ending prohibition? I mean, these speakeasy joints are a great place to get booze, and I even pulled some arse from one last night," said some dumbass circa 1932.

Because it would be legal and you wouldn't have to jump through hoops to deposit and cash out.
I also believe some of the Vegas casinos have worked with Nevada somehow and their residents can now place wagers through an app of some sort.

You can suck my fricking nuts. I've been with 5dimes for years and have made a withdrawal as recently as last week. I get one free withdrawal a month and it's $20 a withdrawal after that. I submit my request and pick it up the next day at either Moneygram or Western Union, whichever I specify. Personally, I chose Moneygram and picked it up at Wal Mart. Once a month is fine for me because I've been betting long enough to know that it's a marathon, not a sprint and rarely do I pick up money more than once a month. Let it build, withdraw. Rinse and Repeat. If I'm in a bind bad enough that I need to withdraw more than once a month, I have bigger problems than the $20 fee.

If this passes, there will be ZERO reasons to go to Vegas.
It's nothing special as it is. And now, you will have Beach resorts, turn into gambling resorts?
Beach+SportsGambling>>>>>>>>>>Vegas
You could actually take ur wife for NCAA tourney, she sits at beach, reading, getting rays, doing ocean shite, while ur gambling ur arse off.
Win,Win
Many people thought the opening of Cuba would be the big sports-beach resort openings, but still 2 much shite, till Castros die.
Remember, Cuba was Vegas, but actually had Celebs who were still the in thing.

Vegas has become the nickeling and diming capital of the world in recent years. Resort fees, paid parking, increased drink prices. That's what corporations does. Have you walked the strip lately? It's nothing but a big orgy of marketing, commercials, kids all over the place, peddles, beggars, hustlers, crooks, tourists who takes forever walking in front of you.

I heard from a friend on the coast that the Beau Rivage Casino (owned by MGM) in Biloxi already is looking at plans for a sports book to accommodate up to 500 people on game days.
With all the discussion I should add the earliest we could see this is the 2018 football season.
