Drew Brees... I still feel like I'm growing up

Griffey was nice but since I was a big power hitter of course Rickey Henderson was my favorite! This is also a weird one but Donyell Marshall was a guy I wanted to be like when I was just starting out in HS. He was at UConn at the time and I loved his game.

A-Rod for me....
A-Rod is the reason I'm a big Rangers fan today. I was 10 when he joined the team and up to that point I didn't really have a "favorite" team. The Braves were always on and I enjoyed watching them on TBS but I felt more of a connection to the Rangers being closer to them.
Of course I admired other players such as Ripken, Gwynn, Griffey, Maddux, Glavine, etc. but A-Rod was one of a kind to me as a kid. Unfortunately the past few years have shown how he really is.

I look up to him to this day. Not as a sports figure but as an American and a man.
