Southern beats UNLV 85-71 (NCAAM)

Seems like a crazy upset. I know UNLV isn't as good as they used to be and they haven't been to the tournament in a while, but still a very good win for Southern. They have to be calling for a firing of UNLV coach now. UNLV was favored by 20 points

The SWAC teams generally play brutal early season schedules, with just about every game on the road with not a lot of wins to be had, just so they can fund the sport. For example Southern starts:

@ UNLV
@ (12) Arizona
@ W. Illinois
@ (25) Illinois
@ Valparasio
@ (5) Marquette
@ Mississippi St

damn thats rough. Id love it as a player though. Get to travel to some cool places and environments youd otherwise never get to experiance.
